TLDR

  • ETH is trading near $2,498.94, holding above a key breakout zone.
  • Analyst Bitcoin Meraklisi says a break above $2,515 could open the path to $2,750 and later $4,750.
  • Trading volume jumped 81.78% to $29.08 billion, according to Coinglass.
  • Open interest rose slightly to $32.86 billion, signaling fresh market interest.
  • Token Terminal reports Ethereum’s RWA sector is expanding, led by $163.5 billion in stablecoins.

Ethereum is holding steady above a breakout zone that traders have been watching closely. The ETH price sat at $2,498.94 at the time of writing, with a 24-hour trading volume of $10.68 billion and a market capitalization of $304.85 billion.

The price stayed largely flat over the past 24 hours. Buyers have continued to defend the recent breakout level, keeping the short-term structure intact.

Crypto analyst Bitcoin Meraklisi shared on X that Ethereum reclaimed the $2,381 resistance level and is now consolidating between $2,381 and $2,515. He described this range as a possible accumulation zone ahead of the next directional move.

According to Meraklisi, a confirmed breakout above $2,515 could send the price toward $2,750 first. From there, he pointed to $3,400 and eventually the $4,750 region as further upside targets if momentum continues.

He also flagged $2,381 as the level to watch. Losing that support, he noted, would weaken the current bullish setup.

Technical Signals Point to Cooling Momentum

Chart data from TradingView shows ETH moved from a tight consolidation into a sharp upward move in late August. The price rallied from a summer low near $1,500 to a high of $2,523.58 before settling above $2,500.

The 20-day moving average, now at $2,418.98, is turning upward and acting as dynamic support. The MACD indicator shows a positive divergence following the rally, though some histogram bars point to slowing momentum.

Despite these bullish signals, ETH price action remains in neutral territory for now. This lines up with a broader cautious mood in the crypto market following Bitcoin’s recent cooldown.

Trading Volume Climbs as RWA Sector Expands

Data from Coinglass shows Ethereum’s trading volume rose 81.78% to reach $29.08 billion. Open interest also increased, up 0.34% to $32.86 billion.

The combination of high volume and steady open interest points to growing market participation rather than added leverage risk.

Market tracker Token Terminal posted on X that Ethereum’s role in the real-world asset sector keeps expanding as tokenization spreads across finance. Stablecoins remain the largest category at $163.5 billion, followed by tokenized funds at $17.5 billion.

Token Terminal’s data also shows around $5 billion in tokenized commodities and $770.1 million in stock tokens currently on Ethereum. These figures show tokenized assets continuing to move onto the network.

The next move for ETH may hinge on whether buyers can clear $2,515 while holding the $2,381 support level. As of now, Ethereum trades at $2,498.94 with $29.08 billion in 24-hour derivatives volume.
